Fiberglass Step Repair
On average a full four(4) tread step replacement will take two(2) days from start to finish. Below is a preview of our process in fixing damaged in-ground fiberglass steps. Some other options such as removing and re-installing a new set of steps is possible as well.
Step One: Identify and Setup |
The first step to fixing any damaged pool step is to drain the pool water below the step gasket so we can take accurate measurements on the step treads. |
Step Two: Detailed Preparation |
After the step has been cleaned and all measurements have been taken we then apply our resin and custom cut fiberglass pads to all of the damaged treads. These fiberglass pads are strong enough to be self supporting for maximum stability. After applying the fiberglass we make sure our transitions are neatly blended. |
Step Three: The Final Touch |
After sanding and trimming the fiberglass overlays we paint over the existing step with our custom made paint. This special paint we use has a textured finish with a non-skid overlay that can with stand pool chemicals. |
